Baatz Building Apartments
Great Falls, Montana
BSPARK worked with co-developers Homeword, Inc. and NeighborWorks Great Falls on the adaptive re-use of the historic Baatz Block Building, originally constructed in 1913, to create permanent supportive housing for people experiencing homelessness. The project features 25 apartments on the upper two floors and a community services facility on the ground floor, 8 apartments to be fully accessible. Additional common spaces for residents that will be included on the upper two floors are a community room with kitchen, computer work/training area, laundry facility, manager’s office and caseworker and service provider offices.
All work designed in compliance with all applicable requirements under the State HOME Program, the Montana Housing Tax Credit Program, as well as National Historic Preservation Tax Credit criteria.
